The Smart Pool Gauge WiFi range depends on a number of factors (obstructions, terrain, interference from other equipment) so it is difficult to give a specific distance. The range is similar to the WiFi range on most smartphones so we recommend testing your connection while standing next to your pool filter. If your smartphone has good reception, your Smart Pool Gauge should too. If you have difficulty getting a signal near your pool equipment we recommend trying a different location for your router or using a range extender.
It can take a while for some devices to connect. If after a minute it still hasn’t connected you can try ‘Forget This Network’ under the (i) menu on iOs or in Android click on the network and select ‘Forget’. Then retry connecting.
You can find your serial number near the bottom of the main screen of the SPGCfg configuration page. This is the same webpage you connected to when you first installed the batteries and calibrated your pressure baselines.
To conserve battery life the Smart Pool Gauge will go to sleep after 5 minutes idle. To wake it up you will need to unscrew the back and remove and then replace one of the batteries.
